42 Copying Cases Reported on Day 1 of Maharashtra HSC Exams; Stringent Measures in Place

Solapur, Pune, Maharashtra: On the first day of Maharashtra's HSC exams, 42 cases of copying were reported, including seven incidents from Solapur and one from Akhilya Nagar. Despite implementing several preventive measures, the Maharashtra State Board is taking strict legal action against offenders. To manage the examination process, a control room was set up in Shivajinagar, Pune, with five to six officials overseeing operations.
The board, led by Chairman Sharad Gosavi, has warned that anyone found guilty of copying will face legal consequences. Additional measures to prevent malpractices include mobile phone recordings by assistant examiners and the establishment of a war room for real-time monitoring. The state has mandated CCTV cameras at all centers to record and store footage until results are declared.
Authorities are reshuffling staff at various centers across Maharashtra's divisions, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, and others, to ensure enhanced vigilance. The board remains committed to providing a fair and transparent examination process.
