60-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Luxury Hotel Room

South Mumbai: In a tragic incident, a 60-year-old woman, identified as Vinati Mehtani, was found dead in her room at a five-star hotel in South Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. Police suspect natural causes but are awaiting further medical examination for confirmation.

Mehtani, a resident of South Mumbai, had been staying at the hotel since January 6. Officials stated that there were no signs of injuries or foul play based on the preliminary post-mortem findings. Her viscera has been preserved for further analysis to determine the exact cause of death.

“She had been suffering from a skin condition and reportedly slipped into depression,” said a senior officer from the Marine Drive police station.

Prior to this, she had been staying at another five-star hotel in the same area. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the matter further while awaiting the detailed post-mortem report.

This incident has raised concerns about the well-being and mental health of individuals leading isolated lives.
