Tragic Loss for Olympian Manu Bhaker: Grandmother and Uncle Killed in Haryana Road Accident

Charkhi Dadri, Haryana: In a heartbreaking incident, Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker's maternal grandmother, Savitri Devi, and her uncle, Yudhveer Singh, were killed in a tragic road accident in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. The accident occurred early on Sunday morning around 9 am, when a Brezza car collided with the scooter they were traveling on.
The accident took place on Mahendragarh Bypass Road, and the car driver fled the scene after the crash, as per reports. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the police have sent the bodies to the civil hospital for post-mortem examination. The cause of the accident remains unclear, although it is reported that foggy weather may have contributed to the collision.
This tragic event follows closely on the heels of Bhaker’s achievement of receiving the prestigious Khel Ratna Award from President Murmu just two days ago. As India’s first athlete to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics, Bhaker's legacy has been defined by extraordinary success and determination, making this loss all the more devastating.
