7 New Flyovers to be Built in Vasai-Virar City, Citizens to Get Relief from Traffic Jams

Virar/Mumbai : Considering the growing population of Vasai-Virar city and the increasing traffic on its roads, there was a need for a new traffic management system. Recently, the plan for building 7 flyovers in different areas of Vasai-Virar city has been cleared, and it is expected that the work on these flyovers will soon gain momentum. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has granted administrative approval for this project, and the issue is expected to be resolved soon. A budget of ₹2,000 crores has been approved for this purpose.

The Vasai-Virar Municipal area includes major western railway stations like Virar, Nalasopara, Vasai, and Naygaon. However, due to the lack of flyovers connecting the east and west, traffic pressure has been increasing. Locations that experience heavy traffic jams, especially in the evening, have been selected for the construction of flyovers, which will help ease the traffic flow. The growing population of Vasai-Virar city has made the current traffic infrastructure insufficient, causing significant inconvenience to the citizens. Vasai MLA Hitendra Thakur has taken the issue of traffic jams and increasing vehicles in the Vasai-Virar region seriously and has been in constant communication with the government regarding this matter.

As a result, traffic in Vasai-Virar city will soon become more efficient, saving both time and fuel. Additionally, there will be improvements in the internal traffic system of the city, accelerating its development. The approved flyovers will include locations such as Range Office, Gokhiware, Vasai (East), Chandan Naka Junction, Nalasopara (East), Boliinj Kharodi Naka to Science Garden (Virar East), Manvelpada Naka to Fulapada Junction (Virar East), Manikpur to Babhola Naka, Vasai (West), Vasant Nagari to Evershine, Gokhiware Vasai Road East, and Narangi (Sainath Nagar), Virar.
