Ajit Pawar to Present Maharashtra Budget 2025 Today

Mumbai, India: Maharashtra Finance Minister Ajit Pawar will present the Maharashtra Budget 2025 in the state assembly today, marking his 11th budget presentation. This makes him the second-most frequent budget presenter after Sheshrao Wankhede (13 times).
This will be the first budget of the newly-formed Mahayuti government, with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stating that it will focus on people’s welfare and progress. Pawar, known for his fiscal discipline during the Covid-19 crisis, has historically prioritized farmers, women, labourers, and students in his budgets.
The Maharashtra Legislature’s budget session, which began on March 3, will continue until March 26 at Vidhan Bhavan.
Meanwhile, CM Devendra Fadnavis has reiterated that while there is widespread support for the removal of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, legal procedures must be followed, as the Congress government had placed it under ASI protection.
