Behave, or Else": Supreme Court Warns YouTubers Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy

New Delhi, India: The Supreme Court has issued a stern warning to YouTubers Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia over their involvement in the India’s Got Latent controversy. Justice Surya Kant cautioned them to "behave, or else we know how to deal with you."

The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, made a crass remark about “parental sex” on his podcast, sparking nationwide outrage and legal action. The court criticized Samay Raina for joking about the case during his Canada tour, with Justice Kant remarking that the younger generation thinks they are “over smart.”

While allowing Allahbadia to resume ‘The Ranveer Show’, the court emphasized balancing morality and freedom of expression. The Centre has been asked to consider this while formulating digital content guidelines.

In response to the backlash, Raina deleted all India’s Got Latent episodes and assured cooperation with authorities, while Allahbadia publicly apologized, admitting his comments were inappropriate.
