RG Kar Scam: CBI Finds Clues to 'Influential People' from Sandeep Ghosh's Mobile Phone and Laptop

Kolkata:The CBI, investigating the financial scam at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, has uncovered significant clues regarding 'influential people' from the two mobile phones and two laptops of former controversial principal Sandeep Ghosh.

According to a central agency official, important leads have also been found from the desktop located in Sandeep Ghosh's office and the documents seized from there.

The investigation so far has revealed a three-tiered network. The first level includes politically influential individuals who aided Sandeep Ghosh in executing such a large-scale scam. The second level involves Sandeep Ghosh and his close associates, while the third and final level comprises contractors and suppliers associated with RG Kar Medical College, who were considered trustworthy by Ghosh.

The official mentioned that clues related to financial transactions confirming this three-tiered network have also been found in the parallel investigation being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The investigation into the financial irregularities at RG Kar is being conducted under the direction and supervision of the court. Meanwhile, the ED has taken cognizance of the matter by registering an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR).
