Bhayanderpada Flyover Inaugurated on Ghodbunder Road: Major Boost to Thane’s Connectivity and Traffic Relief

Thane, 14 May 2025 –In a major infrastructure milestone for Thane, the long-awaited Bhayanderpada Flyover on Ghodbunder Road was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde, in the presence of Hon’ble Transport Minister Shri Pratap Sarnaik and senior officials from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Strategically constructed atop the viaduct of Metro Lines 4 and 4A, the flyover not only optimizes land use but also sets the stage for future seamless integration between road and metro transport. Once Metro operations commence, residents in the vicinity will benefit from enhanced multimodal connectivity.
The flyover is expected to provide significant relief from persistent traffic congestion, especially for commuters traveling between Thane, Vasai-Virar, Borivali, Bhiwandi, Navi Mumbai, JNPT, and Gujarat.
