Birthday Celebration Turns Deadly: 3 Gunned Down in Panchkula's Morni

Morni-Thapli Road, Panchkula, Haryana: In a shocking incident on Sunday night, three people were shot dead in the parking lot of a resort on the Morni-Thapli road in Panchkula. The victims had just left the resort after celebrating a birthday when unidentified assailants opened fire on their SUV, killing them instantly.

The deceased have been identified as Vicky and Vipin from Delhi, along with Nia from Hisar. A close associate of the victims stated that they had been at the resort for a celebration, and had left when the tragic shooting occurred. The victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, where they were declared dead on arrival.

Pinjore SHO Sombir confirmed the victims' identities, while Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Arvind Kamboj revealed that Vicky, aged about 30, had a criminal background with several cases against him. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage and gathering other evidence to piece together what led to the incident. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, although police have not ruled out the possibility of old enmity.
