BJP's Vision for Women and Seniors: A Promise of Empowerment and Welfare in Delhi Manifesto

Delhi:  In a move aimed at empowering women and supporting senior citizens, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled part of its Delhi Assembly elections manifesto, focusing on robust welfare measures.

BJP President JP Nadda emphasized, “Our manifesto is based on the empowerment of women and welfare of senior citizens, laying the groundwork for a developed Delhi.” Promising significant benefits, the party introduced a Rs 2,500 monthly assistance for women, Rs 21,000 support during pregnancy, and a subsidized LPG cylinder at just Rs 500 for the underprivileged. These initiatives were highlighted as stepping stones toward bettering the lives of Delhi's women.

Adding more value, the manifesto also proposed Rs 2,500 monthly pensions for senior citizens, with an increase for those over 70 years. Additionally, Rs 5 per plate meals at “Atal Canteens” in JJ clusters, free OPD services, and comprehensive medical coverage under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana are part of the plan.

Nadda assured the continued success of the AAP’s welfare schemes, suggesting that the BJP would build upon the existing foundation with stronger and more efficient implementation. The BJP further committed to expanding public transportation for women, ensuring more buses on the roads to make the service even more accessible.

As the Delhi elections approach, the manifesto paints a clear picture of the BJP’s focus on social welfare, particularly towards women and senior citizens, making a significant push for increased support to these key groups.
