BKC’s New Signal-Free Connector Set to Save 15 Minutes on Your Commute!

Mumbai, BKC: Mumbai is about to experience a major traffic relief with the opening of a new signal-free connector that links the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) to Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has constructed a 180-meter missing link connector to ease congestion and improve access to BKC.
Set to open within the next two days, this connector promises to reduce travel time by 15 minutes, offering a smoother commute for those traveling to the commercial hub of Mumbai. The new link will connect the EEH to the BKC area without any traffic signals, benefiting daily commuters and helping optimize traffic flow.
The current route between BKC and EEH already serves a high volume of vehicles, leading to heavy congestion, especially during peak hours. With the addition of this new link, which runs from SEBI Building to Avenue-5, traffic will be more evenly distributed across multiple routes, relieving pressure on the BKC Connector and providing much-needed connectivity to surrounding areas.
The project is designed to further enhance travel time efficiency and make movement towards key locations like G-Block, MCA, Consulate, and MTNL more seamless.
