Blast at IOCL Refinery in Koil, Vadodara; Smoke Plumes Visible Up to 6 km Away

Vadodara/Ahmedabad : A major blast occurred at the IOCL refinery located in Koil, Vadodara. Following the blast, a massive fire broke out at the refinery. Immediately after the fire started, thick smoke plumes began rising, which were visible from a long distance. The blast and subsequent fire caused panic among the nearby residents. Upon receiving the news, fire-fighting teams reached the scene and are working to control the blaze. The police have also arrived at the location. No reports of casualties have been received as of now.

It is reported that the blast at the IOCL refinery in Koil caused the ground in the surrounding area to shake. The sound of the blast was so loud that nearby residents rushed out of their homes. Currently, two ambulances have reached the refinery site. Local MLA Dharmendrasinh Vaghela has also arrived at the scene.
