Blaze and Crash Chaos in Mumbai: Hardware Shop Fire and Trailer Accident Cause Havoc

Mulund West Fire Incident:
In the early hours of Friday, a fire erupted at the Silver Hardware shop on NS Road, near Dhanwantari Hospital, Mulund West. Reported at 1:06 am, the fire was swiftly brought under control by 1:27 am. Preliminary investigations by the BMC Disaster Control Room attribute the cause to a short circuit.
While no injuries were reported, a parked car and four motorcycles nearby suffered extensive damage due to the blaze.
Dharavi-Mahim Junction Accident:
On the same day, chaos unfolded at Dharavi-Mahim Junction when a large trailer lost control and crashed into several parked vehicles, including taxis and tempos. The collision caused significant damage, with some vehicles being pushed into a roadside gutter near Kemkar Chowk in Sahu Nagar.
Authorities reported the incident at 6:50 am. While there were no injuries, videos from the scene showed vehicles, including taxis, lying in a nullah, while the trailer was stuck on a slope. The Sahunagar and Mahim traffic police quickly responded, deploying a crane to remove the trailer and restore traffic flow.
Ongoing Investigation:
The cause of the trailer mishap remains under investigation, and authorities are assessing the damage caused. Thankfully, no lives were lost in either incident.
