Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX futures reaches at 19719 point: GOLD futures gains by 0.33% and SILVER futures gains by 1.45%

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.48942.63 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 22 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 11335.3 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 37603.68 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 19719 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7409.35 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 78296 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was up by 0.39% to Rs. 63022 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.48% to Rs. 7674 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.38% to Rs. 77806 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 1.45% to Rs. 98861 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 1.47% to Rs. 98638 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 1.44% to Rs. 98620 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2312.41 crores with volume of 2952 lots and OI of 17579 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2488.47 crores with volume of 8412 lots and OI of 29933 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1928.98 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was up by 0.63% to Rs. 819.9 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was up by 1.41% to Rs. 287.85 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.74% to Rs. 239.15 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 without any changes 182 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 980.28 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 219.52 crores, Lead futures Rs. 28.53 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 509.45 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2014.77 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was up by 0.52% to Rs. 5963 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 194.7 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 626.53 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1133.65 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.19% to Rs. 899 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.21% to Rs. 57300 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 37603.68 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 816.64 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 4.59% to Rs. 239.40 with volume of 31185 lots & OI of 9139 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 9.57% to Rs. 175.8 with volume of 22217 lots & OI of 7786 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.210 was up by 8.33% to Rs. 1.30 with volume of 24727 lots & OI of 14055 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.205 was down by 4.23% to Rs. 12.45 with volume of 5987 lots & OI of 3992 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was up by 8.58% to Rs. 1570.00 with volume of 272 lots & OI of 470 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was down by 9.92% to Rs. 345 with volume of 332 lots & OI of 965 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by 24.38% to Rs. 3461.00 with volume of 760 lots & OI of 1538 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by 14.66% to Rs. 3000 with volume of 319 lots & OI of 160 lots.
