Exit Polls Predict BJP Win in Delhi, AAP and Congress Dismiss Projections

New Delhi: Most exit polls have predicted a BJP victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, but AAP and Congress have dismissed these projections, expressing confidence in their own performance.
AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that exit polls have historically underestimated AAP’s vote share. “In 2013, 2015, and 2020, exit polls showed lower numbers for us, but the actual results proved otherwise. This time too, we will win with a big mandate,” he said, claiming strong public support in his constituency.
BJP leaders, however, are confident of a landslide victory. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva asserted, “On February 8, our victory will be even bigger than what exit polls predict. Delhi has chosen to end Kejriwal’s corruption and bring in BJP’s development agenda.” BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri also stated that the party would comfortably form the government.
Meanwhile, Congress is also expecting a better performance than the polls suggest. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav emphasized that Congress fought a strong election, reconnecting with voters by highlighting achievements from Sheila Dikshit’s tenure. “The support we received at the grassroots level will reflect in the final results,” he said.
With results set to be announced on February 8, all eyes are on whether exit polls will hold true or if AAP and Congress will defy predictions.
