China Supports Lebanon, Says It Stands with Arab Brothers in All Circumstances

New York: Amidst Israel's attacks against the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon, China has clarified its position. It stated that it firmly supports Lebanon in maintaining its sovereignty, security, and national dignity.

China's state newspaper, Global Times, posted a photo and details of Foreign Minister Wang Yi's meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib during his visit to the U.S. on Monday in New York.

According to Global Times, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations during their meeting. Wang Yi stated, "China firmly supports Lebanon in maintaining its sovereignty, security, and national dignity. Regardless of the circumstances, we will stand on the side of justice and support our Arab brothers, including Lebanon."

Wang Yi also expressed concern over the incidents of explosions in communication facilities in Lebanon. He strongly opposed the indiscriminate attacks on civilians and condemned actions that violate the fundamental principles of international relations.
