Praveen Khandelwal, BJP MP from Chandni Chowk and National General Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), has sent a letter to Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, requesting the establishment of a "Torture Museum" at the Red Fort, a prominent historical monument in Delhi and a symbol of India's rich heritage.Khandelwal emphasized that this museum should showcase the brutal torture faced by patriots and freedom fighters from the Mughal era to the British period. He believes it is crucial for every generation to understand the sacrifices made for India's freedom. "This 'Torture Museum' would highlight past cruelties and human rights violations," he stated, reminding every Indian of the heavy price paid by millions for independence.
