CM Stalin Reviews Rain Havoc in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Tenkasi

Chennai: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday reviewed the heavy rain-induced havoc in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Tenkasi districts. Connecting via video conference from the State Emergency Operations Centre, the CM engaged with district collectors to assess the relief efforts and rainfall impact.

The CM instructed officials to ensure the quick removal of stagnant rainwater in low-lying areas and prepare relief camps for affected residents. Municipal Administration Minister KN Nehru and Revenue Minister KKSSR Ramachandran, along with senior IAS officers, were deployed to supervise rescue and relief measures.

Addressing the media, Stalin stated that no reports of major damage have surfaced, but the government is poised to manage any eventuality. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the financial assistance extended by the central government, terming it inadequate.
