Crass Joke Row: FIR Filed Against ‘India’s Got Latent’ Jury for Obscene Content

Mumbai, Maharashtra: The Maharashtra Cyber Police have registered an FIR against the jury, producers, and the individual who uploaded the controversial episode of YouTube’s reality show India’s Got Latent. The FIR follows allegations that the show, hosted by Samay Raina, promoted obscenity and sexually explicit content.
The show has sparked outrage due to a vulgar interaction involving judge Ranveer Allahbadia and others, leading to the removal of the episode from YouTube. Maharashtra Cyber Cell Special IG Yashashvi Yadav confirmed the FIR, noting that all episodes of the show have been scrutinized, and legal actions have been taken against all involved.
The controversy escalated as the Maharashtra Women’s Commission requested the registration of a case, accusing the show of demeaning women. The Commission has also called for a ban on the program, citing sensitive remarks made during the episode.
The Guwahati Police have also launched an inquiry into the matter, with FIRs filed in Assam against the involved personalities. Meanwhile, Mumbai police are gathering evidence, with investigators visiting the Habitat venue where the episode was filmed.
As the probe continues, both the Maharashtra Cyber Police and Mumbai Police are ensuring that the matter is thoroughly examined under relevant laws, including those related to obscenity and indecent representation.
