Delhi School Bus Catches Fire in Kaushambi, 15 Students Escape Unhurt

A school bus carrying 15 students and staff caught fire in Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi on Thursday morning, but fortunately, no one was injured. The air-conditioned bus, en route to a school in Delhi’s Preet Vihar, was on a road behind the Kaushambi police station when the flames broke out. The fire department was alerted at 7:32 AM, and two fire tenders quickly arrived to control the blaze within 30 minutes.

The fire started in the bus's engine area, and it is suspected to be caused by a short-circuit. The driver noticed smoke and halted the bus, allowing staff and locals to safely evacuate the students before the fire spread. Despite the bus being gutted, all aboard escaped unharmed. School authorities arranged alternative transport for the students.

Meanwhile, the fire department also responded to a second fire call in Vasundhara at 8:56 AM, where a gift gallery shop's lower floor caught fire. The blaze was quickly contained, preventing damage to nearby businesses, and no casualties were reported. Both incidents are believed to have been caused by short-circuits.
