Teachers Suspended Over Objectionable Social Media Posts in Maharajganj

Maharajganj,UP: Two government school teachers have been suspended, and two others served notices for allegedly posting offensive remarks about religion and the government on social media. The action came after the posts caught the administration's attention, officials confirmed on Friday.

District Magistrate (DM) Anunay Jha directed Basic Education Officer (BSA) Pradeep Kumar Sharma to investigate the matter, which led to the suspension of Assistant Teacher Haredam Gautam from Composite School Nipaniya Bhagwanpur (Nichlaul) and Assistant Teacher Abdul Haq Khan from Composite School Shahpur (Nautanwa).

"After a thorough inquiry confirmed their comments to be objectionable, the suspensions were issued immediately," BSA Sharma said. Notices have also been served to two additional teachers as part of the investigation.

The move reflects a strict stance against inappropriate remarks on social media by public officials in Maharajganj.
