Dog’s Head Found in Refrigerator at Momo Factory in Mohali; Workers Flee Amid Health Raid

Mohali, Punjab: A shocking incident has come to light from Mohali, Punjab, where health officials discovered the head of a dog inside a refrigerator at a factory supplying momos, spring rolls, and other food items. The factory, located in Mattaur village, was raided on Sunday following multiple complaints from the public regarding unhygienic food preparation practices.
The factory, which distributed its products across Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali, has been operating for the past two years. The dog’s head was found in the fridge, but the body was missing. Authorities are investigating whether dog meat was used in the preparation of food items, though it remains unclear. The head of the dog has been sent to the veterinary department for testing.
In addition to the dog’s head, officials recovered chopped meat and a crusher machine from the premises, further raising concerns about the factory’s operations. Social media posts from locals had previously highlighted the unhygienic conditions at the factory, which has now come under scrutiny.
Reports indicate that the factory is owned by a person who also runs a bakery in the area. Around eight to ten workers from Nepal were employed at the factory, but as of now, all the employees have fled the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation and are conducting operations to locate the missing workers.
The incident has sparked outrage, and local authorities have vowed to take strict action to ensure food safety and hygiene in the region.
