Mulund East to Face 12-14 Hour Water Cut Following Pipeline Damage, BMC Informs Residents

Mumbai, March 17, 2025: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a water cut in Mulund East for the next 12 to 14 hours due to damage caused to a key water pipeline. The incident occurred during micro tunneling work carried out by the Sewerage Operations department.
A 750 mm diameter water pipeline was reportedly damaged on Monday, March 17, affecting the water supply in Mulund East. The BMC has assured residents that repair work is being conducted on an urgent basis, and water supply will be restored by the afternoon of Tuesday, March 18.
The following areas in Mulund East are expected to face disruptions in water supply:
- Eastern Express Highway stretch
- Near Mulund station
- Mhada Colony
- Hari Om Nagar
The BMC has urged residents to conserve water and make necessary arrangements during the disruption. The repair work is being carried out on a war footing, and authorities are working to minimize the impact on daily life.
