Saif Ali Khan Stabbed in Terrifying Bandra Attack: CCTV Catches Intruder in Action

Bandra, Mumbai: In a shocking incident early this morning, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed by an intruder inside his upscale 12th-floor apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. The attacker, who was caught on CCTV cameras, was seen descending the stairs after the brutal assault, staring directly at the camera.
The attack took place around 2:30 am, as Khan's domestic help raised the alarm, alerting him to a struggle. Khan rushed to her aid, where a fight between the two ensued. The intruder reportedly sneaked into the actor’s flat at some point during the night, as no forced entry was detected.
Khan sustained six injuries, including two deep wounds, one near his spine and the other on his neck. Following emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, doctors confirmed that Saif was "out of danger" and stable in the ICU, though his recovery will continue. The doctors revealed the severe nature of the attack, with one injury near the spine that required extensive surgery.
In light of the shocking nature of this attempted burglary-turned-attack, an FIR has been filed by the Bandra Police, with the intruder still under investigation.
Despite this terrifying event, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, reaffirmed Mumbai's safety, calling it the safest among the country’s mega cities, despite the occasional incident.
This incident serves as a chilling reminder of the vulnerability that can exist even in one of Mumbai’s most upscale neighborhoods.
