Guwahati:Earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of Assam and neighboring country Bhutan at 7:47 am on Sunday. Its magnitude was measured at 4.6 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 15 kilometers of the ground near Udalguri in Assam. The coordinates of the earthquake were 26.73 ° North latitude and 92.31 ° East longitude. The tremors of the earthquake were felt in many areas including Dhekiajuli, Tawang, Barpeta, Goalpara, North Lakhimpur, Itanagar, Jorhat, Tezpur, Golaghat, Guwahati, Nagaon and Dimapur. There has been no report of any casualties or major damage.
