Excise scam: Kejriwal, Sisodia and K Kavita appear in court, next hearing on Oct 19

New Delhi:Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party leader Durgesh Pathak, Vijay Nair and Bharat Rashtra Samiti leader K Kavita appeared in Rouse Avenue Court in the CBI case related to Delhi Excise Scam. All the accused appeared in the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baveja. The next hearing of the case will be on October 19.

On September 11, the court ordered bail to Durgesh Pathak on a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh. On September 3, the court took cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet filed by the CBI against Arvind Kejriwal. On August 23, the CBI told the court that permission has been granted to prosecute Kejriwal. On July 10, the court took cognizance of the ED charge sheet and ordered Kejriwal to appear.

On May 17, ED filed the seventh supplementary chargesheet in which Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal have been made accused. So far 18 people have been arrested in this case. Those arrested include Kejriwal, Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, BRS leader Kavita. In this case, the Supreme Court has granted regular bail to Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Sisodia and K Kavita.
