Saluting Netaji: Nation Unites to Celebrate Parakram Diwas

New Delhi: The nation paid heartfelt tributes to the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 126th birth anniversary, observed as Parakram Diwas (Day of Valour). President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the country in honoring Netaji's unparalleled contributions to India's fight for independence.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted Netaji's steadfast dedication to the nation's freedom. "Greetings to the people of India on Parakram Diwas. Today on his Jayanti, we honour the life and courage of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. His unwavering dedication to our nation's freedom continues to inspire," he shared on X.
President Droupadi Murmu underscored Netaji's profound impact on the independence movement. "I pay my tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose... His unparalleled courage and charisma inspired Indians to fight fearlessly against colonial rule," she remarked.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar remembered Netaji’s indomitable spirit and quoted his iconic words, "Give me blood and I shall give you freedom," urging everyone to prioritize a united and prosperous India.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also joined the nation in paying homage. “Humble tribute to the great hero of the freedom struggle... Leader of ‘Azad Hind Fauj,’” he posted on X.
Parakram Diwas, declared in 2021, serves as a reminder of Netaji’s heroic efforts to unite the nation and achieve liberty. From his rallying cry for independence to his visionary leadership, Netaji remains a source of inspiration for generations to come.
