Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.51938.85 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 18 December 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 7832.31 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 44106.54 crores (notional). Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 3497.67 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 76894 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Dec-24 contract was down by 0.02% to Rs. 61860 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Dec-24 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 7683 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Jan-25 contract was up by 0.01% to Rs. 76320 per 10 gram. SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.26% to Rs. 90640 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.2% to Rs. 90730 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.22% to Rs. 90725 per kg. Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1736.50 crores with volume of 2258 lots and OI of 14355 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 615.54 crores with volume of 2260 lots and OI of 30201 lots. Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1425.56 crores. COPPER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 808.45 per kg and ZINC Dec-24 contract was down by 0.51% to Rs. 282 per kg while ALUMINIUM Dec-24 without any changes 242.45 per kg and LEAD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.31% to Rs. 178.1 per kg. Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 775.29 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 103.10 crores, Lead futures Rs. 23.80 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 378.19 crores. Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2904.06 crores. CRUDEOIL Dec-24 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 5991 per BBL while NATURALGAS Dec-24 contract was up by 6.15% to Rs. 286.6 per MMBTU. Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 444.94 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 2105.56 crores. AGRI: MENTHAOIL Dec-24 contract was up by 0.1% to Rs. 933 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was down by 0.7% to Rs. 54150 per candy. Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 44106.54 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 857.6 crores. Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 17.85% to Rs. 173.60 with volume of 45850 lots & OI of 16020 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was down by 13.15% to Rs. 195.5 with volume of 30822 lots & OI of 10555 lots. Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by 128.1% to Rs. 13.80 with volume of 38106 lots & OI of 7574 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was down by 52.17% to Rs. 7.7 with volume of 42403 lots & OI of 8553 lots. Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was down by 0.69% to Rs. 434.00 with volume of 1207 lots & OI of 1186 lots, while Gold Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was down by 3.94% to Rs. 231.5 with volume of 1164 lots & OI of 1623 lots. Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.91000 was down by 3.13% to Rs. 3603.50 with volume of 190 lots & OI of 277 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 3.21% to Rs. 3359 with volume of 105 lots & OI of 780 lots.
