Hit-and-Run: Ambernath Doctor Seriously Injured in Car-Scooter Collision

Ambernath,Thane: A serious accident took place on Sunday evening in Ambernath, Thane, when Dr. Reshma Verma, 40, was thrown off her scooter after a speeding car collided with her near Chikhloli. The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the car hitting the scooter so forcefully that it caused Dr. Verma to fall violently to the ground, suffering severe injuries.

Locals quickly responded to the accident, rushing to assist Dr. Verma before calling the police, who swiftly transported her to a private hospital. The doctor sustained multiple injuries to her head, back, hands, and leg. She is currently in critical condition and admitted to the ICU.

The driver of the car, who fled the scene, remains unidentified. An offence has been registered at the Ambernath police station, and authorities are investigating the hit-and-run case. The CCTV footage is expected to help trace the car involved in the crash.
