Hrithik Roshan Reflects on 25 Years of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai: ‘What Will the Audience Think?’

Mumbai, India: As Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai celebrates its 25th anniversary, Hrithik Roshan is filled with a mixture of nostalgia and anxiety about how the new generation will receive the iconic film.
Reflecting on his career milestone, the actor expressed his fear, saying, “I am so afraid that this film is releasing again. People will go after 25 years and be like, ‘What were we thinking?’” With Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai re-releasing in theatres, Hrithik worries about a younger audience who may have different tastes than the original viewers.
He also shared an amusing memory from the film's production, recalling how he was handed a guitar to play just one day before the Pyar Ki Kashti Mein shoot. “I couldn’t sleep the whole night, trying to match the tune with my fingers, but I clearly didn’t get it right,” he laughed. His sons, now learning guitar, teased him about his "play-acting" in the scene. “Dad, you just couldn’t do it,” they said, but Hrithik fondly admits he was simply trying his best at the time.
The actor also remembered his early days with legendary actor Rajinikanth on the 1986 film Bhagwan Dada, where Hrithik played the role of the young Govinda Dada. “I didn’t realize the legend I was sharing the screen with back then,” Hrithik admitted. Rajinikanth, who was always gentle and giving, even took the blame whenever Hrithik made a mistake during shoots, ensuring the young actor wouldn’t feel conscious.
As Hrithik continues to embrace both his 25-year journey in Bollywood and his personal reflections, it's clear that his humility and dedication continue to resonate with both his peers and fans alike.
