IIT Madras, IIT Palakkad Collaborate on New Science Education Program

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad) have joined forces to enhance student opportunities through shared resources, research internships, and immersive summer programs. This partnership leverages the strengths of both institutions to broaden the learning horizons for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (BS) programs at IIT Madras and undergraduate courses at IIT Palakkad.

IIT Madras introduced its 4-year BS program in Data Science and Applications in June 2020. This unique program combines high-quality online content delivery with in-person assessments to ensure comprehensive learning.

Key Features of the Collaboration:

Credit Transfer Opportunities: Eligible students from the IIT Madras BS (Data Science and Applications) program can meet their credit requirements by enrolling in courses at IIT Palakkad, fostering academic exchange and collaboration.

Access to IIT Madras Courses: Undergraduate students at IIT Palakkad can take advantage of the IIT Madras BS program by enrolling in its Data Science and Programming courses, gaining access to cutting-edge skills.

Additional Initiatives: The agreement also supports student exchange programs, internship opportunities, and other joint efforts to enhance the educational experience.
