Impact of Israel-Iran War: Surge in Crude Oil Prices, Brent Crude Nears $78 per Barrel

New Delhi:Amid the Israel-Iran war, there is a surge in crude oil prices in the international market. In the last 24 hours, the price of Brent crude has risen by about four dollars per barrel, reaching approximately $78 per barrel, while WTI crude is nearing $74 per barrel. However, public sector oil and gas marketing companies have not changed the prices of petrol and diesel on Friday.

In the international market, Brent crude is trending at $77.67 per barrel, showing an increase of $0.05 or 0.06 percent in early trading on the fifth day of the week. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is trading at $73.79 per barrel, up by $0.08 or 0.11 percent.

According to Indian Oil's website, petrol prices in Delhi are at ₹94.72, and diesel at ₹87.62. In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹104.21, and diesel ₹92.15. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at ₹103.94, and diesel at ₹90.76. In Chennai, petrol is ₹100.75, and diesel ₹92.34 per liter.
