Kangana Ranaut Sells Pali Hill Bungalow for ₹32 Crore

Mumbai:Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has sold her bungalow in Pali Hill, Mumbai, for ₹32 crore, according to a report by Zapkey. The property was originally purchased by Ranaut in September 2017 for ₹20.7 crore. The transaction was officially registered on September 5, 2024, with a stamp duty of ₹1.92 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000. The buyer is identified as Shweta Bathija, a partner at Kamalini Holdings, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Ranaut had previously taken a ₹27 crore loan against the property in December 2022. The bungalow, which was used as the office for her production house, Manikarnika Films, includes a built-up area of 3,075 sq ft and a 565 sq ft parking space.
In 2020, the property attracted attention from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) when parts of Kangana's Bandra office were demolished due to alleged illegal construction. The demolition was halted by the Bombay High Court following a stay order issued on September 9, 2020. Kangana later filed a case against the BMC, seeking ₹2 crore in compensation but withdrew her demands in May 2023.
Kangana Ranaut is currently focused on her upcoming film Emergency, which has faced delays related to obtaining a certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). On September 6, Kangana announced on X that a new release date for the film would be revealed soon. Emergency, which Kangana has written and directed, features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in key roles.
