Golaghat (Assam): Kaziranga National Park will open for tourists from India and abroad from tomorrow. Safari of jeeps, elephants etc. has been prepared for the tourists.
Preparations are being made in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve to attract domestic and foreign tourists in the tourist season of the year 2024-25. The entrance of the national park and its surrounding area have been decorated to attract tourists.
Assam Forest and Environment Minister Chandra Mohan Patwari will formally reopen Kaziranga National Park for tourists on October 1 for the upcoming tourism year. It is worth mentioning that it was closed for tourists on 31 May due to floods like every year.
Sonali Ghosh, Field Director of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, said that this time the National Park Authority has made arrangements to formally open the entrance of "Bagri Vananchal" for tourists instead of "Kohra Vananchal".
At the same time, entrepreneurs associated with the tourism industry have also completed preparations for this. A large tourism industry of handicrafts has been established around Kaziranga National Park. Many families in Kaziranga have become self-reliant by selling wooden rhinoceroses, elephants etc. Artists bring the creatures of Kaziranga to life with their own hands.
Along with jeep safari, elephant safari, tourist accommodation, cottage industry in Kaziranga has also become a means of livelihood for the people. Through which many unemployed youth have paved the way for self-reliance.
Various creatures of Kaziranga National Park have been made available for tourists visiting Kaziranga to take as symbols.
