Elon Musk-Run Tesla Opens Second Showroom in Delhi: Model Y Now Available

New Delhi, August 11: Electric vehicle giant Tesla, led by Elon Musk, has officially opened its second showroom in India, this time in the national capital. The showroom is located in the upscale Worldmark 3 complex at Aerocity, a premium commercial hub near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The move marks Tesla’s strategic expansion in the National Capital Region (NCR), one of India’s key zones in its push towards electric mobility. This launch follows the company's debut showroom in Mumbai earlier this year, which was inaugurated in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Tesla’s India lineup currently features the Model Y electric SUV, available in two configurations:

  • Standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) – ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom)

  • Long Range RWD – ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom)

Deliveries for both variants are expected to begin in Q3 of 2025.

The Standard RWD version is equipped with a 60 kWh battery offering a WLTP-certified range of 500 km, while the Long Range RWD variant comes with a 75 kWh battery, capable of delivering up to 622 km on a single charge.

In line with Tesla’s global service standards, the company will deliver vehicles directly to customers' homes via flat-bed trucks. Delivery priority will be given to buyers in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram.

Tesla has also updated its Indian website, allowing vehicle registration across all states and union territories, signalling a wider nationwide rollout beyond its initial launch cities.

Tesla has listed its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package as an optional feature for an additional ₹6 lakh. However, the advanced autonomous driving technology will be introduced in India at a later stage, once regulatory and infrastructural readiness is in place.

This showroom launch reinforces Tesla’s long-term commitment to the Indian market and aligns with the country’s vision for a greener future. With Delhi’s inclusion, Tesla now strengthens its presence in both western and northern India, creating an important foothold as the government pushes for faster EV adoption.

Tesla had earlier teased its Delhi arrival on social media platform X, posting, “Arriving in Delhi – stay tuned,” along with a teaser graphic.
