Maharashtra HSC Exams Begin: Strict Measures in Place to Prevent Malpractice

Mumbai, February 11, 2025: The Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams for Std XII commenced today with enhanced security protocols aimed at maintaining exam integrity and preventing malpractice. The exams will continue until March 18, while the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams for Std X will be held from February 21 to March 28.

Key Security Measures:

  • Closure of Photocopy Shops: All photocopy shops within 500 meters of exam centers will remain closed during the exam period to prevent access to unauthorized materials.
  • Mobile and Electronic Restrictions: Strict rules prohibit the use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and other electronic gadgets inside exam centers. To prevent disturbances, Section 144 of CrPC will be enforced to restrict gatherings near exam venues.
  • Surveillance: Sensitive exam centers will be under drone and video surveillance to monitor any suspicious activities.
  • Facial Recognition: Exam staff will undergo facial recognition verification to prevent impersonation.
  • Penalties for Rule Violations: Violators of exam protocols will face legal consequences under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code.
