Mumbai Cop Balances Duty & Cricket, Shines as ISPL’s Sixer King

Mumbai: Sambhaji Patil, a Mumbai cop and hard-hitting batsman, has earned the title of Sixer King in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). Leading Falcon Risers Hyderabad, the 39-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman was picked for ₹11 lakh at this year’s auction after impressing in the previous season.

A dedicated officer, Patil joined the Maharashtra Police Force in 2006 and excelled in athletics before embracing his cricketing passion. Despite receiving offers to play in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, he remains committed to his duty, balancing both roles with discipline.

This season, Patil has smashed three sixes in eight innings, adding to his tally of 11 maximums from last year. His powerful batting has made him a fan favorite, and he now dreams of establishing a police academy to train officers in fitness and cricket.
