Highway Horror: Cement Mixer Truck Crashes Into Stalled Vehicle on Thane's Eastern Express

Thane, Eastern Express Highway: In a shocking incident on Sunday morning, two men were seriously injured after a cement mixer truck collided with a stationary truck on the busy Eastern Express Highway. The collision occurred at around 7 am near the Cadbury flyover, leaving both the truck driver, Mukesh Yadav (30), and his helper, Pankaj (25), trapped inside the mangled vehicle.
The truck carrying 15 tonnes of cement was traveling from Dwala to Mulund when it hit another truck that had stalled due to a mechanical failure. The impact severely damaged the mixer truck’s cabin. Rescue teams arrived swiftly, securing the scene and cutting the vehicle open to free the trapped duo, who were later rushed to a nearby hospital. The highway stretch was blocked for nearly an hour while the debris, including broken glass and spilled cement blocks, was cleared.
Thane Police’s Rabodi station is investigating the incident, while locals and commuters are being urged to remain cautious around high-traffic areas like the Eastern Express Highway.
