BJP Hits 1 Crore Members in Maharashtra, Aims for 50 Lakh More in 15 Days

Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has successfully added 1 crore new members across Maharashtra as part of its massive membership drive. Buoyed by the overwhelming response, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have now set an ambitious target of enrolling another 50 lakh members within the next 15 days, aiming for a total of 1.5 crore members in the state.

Addressing the media in Mumbai, Bawankule highlighted the growing trust in the party and its leadership. "Every citizen wants to be a part of BJP because of their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Fadnavis," he said. The party also sees this expansion as a crucial strategy ahead of upcoming municipal elections, including the high-stakes Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls.

BJP leader Ravindra Chavan has been appointed as the in-charge of the ‘Sangathan Parv’ campaign, which aims to make BJP the largest political party in Maharashtra. The party plans to ensure that only active members get key positions on state-appointed committees.

With strong grassroots efforts and growing public support, the BJP is determined to solidify its presence in both rural and urban Maharashtra ahead of future elections.
