Masseuse’s Betrayal: Spanish Tourist Assaulted in Mumbai

Madh Island, Mumbai: In a disturbing case from Mumbai’s Madh Island, a 42-year-old masseur has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 45-year-old Spanish national and taking inappropriate photos and videos of her and her Indian female friend.

The Spanish tourist, visiting India since last month, contacted the masseur via social media. On Tuesday, he visited her friend’s residence, where he inappropriately touched her and took unauthorized photos during the massage session. The victim confronted him, but he provided evasive answers and refused to surrender his phone.

Police from Malwani Station responded swiftly, arresting the masseur and confiscating his phone for investigation. He faces charges under sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 354 (outraging a woman’s modesty) and Section 354C (voyeurism). The accused is in police custody until Friday.

This incident highlights the importance of caution when availing services through informal channels and enforcing stringent laws against sexual offenses.
