Shocking Molestation Cases in Thane and Nagpur Lead to Arrests, Raising Concerns Over Safety

Thane and Nagpur, Maharashtra: Recent incidents of molestation in Thane and Nagpur have led to arrests, stirring concerns about safety and justice in Maharashtra.
In Thane’s Diva area, a 43-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting an 8-year-old girl on November 20 while she was alone at home. The accused, a neighbor, was arrested after the victim’s father filed a complaint, nearly a month after the incident. He was booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
In another incident in Dombivli, a nine-year-old girl was molested by a neighbor. The girl’s family filed a complaint after the incident came to light, and the accused couple was arrested under similar charges, including those under the POCSO Act.
In Nagpur's MIDC area, a woman was subjected to molestation after an argument with a man regarding the mistreatment of a stray dog. The incident escalated when the woman was forced to apologize, and a video of the incident went viral on social media. Following her complaint, the accused, along with his associates, were arrested on charges of molestation and related offenses.
These incidents have raised alarm and sparked public discussions about the importance of stricter actions to ensure the safety and protection of individuals, especially minors, from such harmful behaviors. The police are continuing their investigations to ensure justice is served.
