Massive Fire Breaks Out in Goregaon Slums, No Casualties Reported

Mumbai, India: A level-2 fire erupted in the slum area of Goregaon on Thursday evening at around 7:30 PM, affecting nearly 150-200 hutments, according to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire was successfully doused after swift firefighting efforts.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at Freemasons Hall in Mumbai’s Fort area on February 15. Four fire tenders were deployed to tackle the blaze, and firefighting operations are still ongoing. No casualties have been reported in this incident as well.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation to prevent further risks in both locations.
