No Injuries Reported; Fire Doused by Emergency Services

Mumbai, June 25 – A massive fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday at the Windsor Building located on CST Road, Santacruz (East), damaging a portion of a commercial office housed in the structure. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.
The fire, which erupted around 6:32 am, was confined to the seventh floor of the building, specifically in the RMC office, and affected an estimated area of 1,000 to 1,500 sq ft. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the fire damaged electrical wiring, installations, furniture, a server panel, battery units, and important office records. Smoke was seen billowing from the seventh floor, prompting swift evacuation and emergency response.
The MFB swiftly responded and classified the incident as a Level-1 fire—the lowest in the severity scale used by the brigade. Alongside MFB personnel, teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Police, 108 Ambulance Services, and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) were present at the scene and assisted in containing the situation.
The Windsor Building, located at 14 CST Road in Kalina's MMRDA area, is a commercial property developed by Windsor Realty. The G+7 structure, which includes a basement, spans an approximate built-up area of 65,000 sq ft and is known for its strategic proximity to Mumbai Airport.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical in nature, although further investigation is underway. Officials are assessing the extent of the property damage.
Emergency responders confirmed that the blaze has been brought under control and cooling operations were completed shortly after. No disruptions to adjoining offices or structural damages to the rest of the building have been reported.
Further details are awaited as authorities continue their assessment.
