Meerut Family Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh:  In a heartbreaking incident on Thursday night, five members of a family were discovered dead in their home in Meerut’s Lisadi Gate area. Police discovered the bodies of Moin (mechanic), his wife Asma, and their three daughters—Afsa (8), Aziza (4), and Adiba (1)—after a locked house prompted concern.

The children’s bodies were found inside a bed box, and the house was locked from the outside. The police suggest that the perpetrator could have been someone familiar to the family, and initial findings indicate that an old enmity might have been behind this devastating crime. One victim’s legs were reportedly tied with a bedsheet.

Authorities were alerted when Moin's brother, Salim, visited after the couple had been missing since Wednesday. The police are actively investigating the family’s background and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Senior officers and forensic teams are collecting evidence from the crime scene to provide clarity on the motive.

This tragedy joins a string of similar incidents, including a 2023 case in Delhi where five family members, including a father and his four physically disabled daughters, were found dead, suspected of suicide, and another murder-suicide case from Haryana last month.
