Supermodel and fitness icon kicks off 5-day endurance journey promoting health and unity

Mumbai, June 26: In a bold testament to physical grit and mental resilience, celebrated Indian supermodel and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman flagged off the 5th edition of ‘The Fit Indian Run’ early this morning from Shivaji Park, Dadar. This year’s edition features a jaw-dropping 558-kilometre solo expedition from Mumbai to Goa, blending running and cycling across the rugged and scenic Konkan coast over the next five days.
Accompanied by his wife, Ankita Konwar, Soman will traverse through Pen, Kolad, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, and Kankavli, culminating the journey in Panjim, Goa. The route, marked by coastal humidity, undulating terrains, and unpredictable weather, is considered one of the most challenging stretches in western India.
Speaking at the flag-off, Soman said, “The Fit Indian Run is a personal expression of my belief that fitness can unify us as a nation. It’s not just about physical strength; it’s about mental perseverance and the determination to push boundaries.”
Now in its fifth year, The Fit Indian Run has grown from a symbolic fitness challenge into a nationwide movement that inspires countless Indians to embrace active lifestyles and mental wellness.
Milind Soman, known for his Ironman achievements and minimalist fitness philosophy, continues to redefine ageing and endurance with his ever-evolving fitness journey. His mission remains clear: to inspire a healthier, more resilient India—one stride at a time.
