Motorcycle Rider Harasses Actress Payal Mukherjee in Kolkata!

West Bengal,A troubling incident has emerged involving Bengali film actress Payal Mukherjee in Kolkata. The actress has alleged that on Friday night, while driving through a city street, a motorcyclist harassed her.

In a tearful Facebook video, Payal described how a young man stopped his motorcycle in front of her SUV on Southern Avenue and demanded that she come out of her vehicle. Payal stated that when she refused to exit the car due to safety concerns, the young man forcefully hit the right-side window, causing it to shatter and injuring her hand.

Local residents came to her aid, and following her complaint, the police apprehended the young man. The individual claimed that Payal's car passed very close to his motorcycle, but he admitted his mistake to the police. Payal denied that such an incident had occurred.

In her video, Payal remarked, "I don't know where we stand. If a woman can be stopped and harassed like this on a crowded street in the evening, it reflects the real situation. And this is happening at a time when the city is holding rallies on women's safety issues."

Payal, who is also a well-known figure in the South Indian film industry, expressed her fear, saying, "I shudder to think what could have happened if this incident had occurred in a deserted area."

This incident comes amid spontaneous protests in the city over the rape and murder of a postgraduate medical trainee from the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, which have been ongoing for the past two weeks.
