Passenger Alleges Safety Concerns on Air India Flight Hours Before Crash

New Delhi, June 12, 2025 — A chilling revelation has emerged after an Air India flight crash, with a passenger claiming to have flown on the same aircraft just two hours before the tragic incident. The flight, which crashed after departing from Ahmedabad (AMD), was previously used for a Delhi to Ahmedabad journey earlier in the day. Akash Vatsa (@akku92), who traveled from Delhi to Ahmedabad on the same aircraft, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his concerns. He reported noticing "unusual things" aboard the flight and documented them through videos. His post, which has gone viral with over 8.4 million views, urged Air India to get in touch with him for more details.
"I was in the same damn flight 2 hours before it took off from AMD. I came in this from DEL-AMD. Noticed unusual things in the place. Made a video to tweet to @airindia. I would want to give more details. Please contact me," Vatsa wrote. He also tagged popular creators and major news outlets, including @flyingbeast320, @aajtak, @ndtv, and @Boeing_In, using hashtags such as #planecrash and #AI171.
The tweet is accompanied by photos and short video clips from inside the aircraft, showing apparent issues with in-flight entertainment systems and cabin conditions. Air India has yet to officially respond to the tweet or confirm any link between the passenger’s observations and the unfortunate crash. The incident has sparked widespread concern on social media, with thousands of users demanding a transparent investigation and immediate safety audits across the airline’s fleet. This is a developing story.
