Murder Accused Hurls Slipper at Judge During Court Hearing

Kalyan, Thane District, Maharashtra: In a shocking turn of events at a Kalyan court on Saturday, a 25-year-old murder accused, Kiran Bharam, lashed out during a court hearing. Arrested in 2020 for his alleged involvement in a murder case, Bharam became visibly agitated when the additional session judge announced the next hearing date. In a fit of rage, he allegedly hurled a slipper at the judge.

The incident led to immediate action, with police escorting him out of the courtroom. A fresh case has now been registered against him under the Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita. According to Inspector Dnyaneshwar Sabale, Bharam’s remand in the matter will be sought in the coming days.

This dramatic courtroom disruption raises concerns over safety protocols during trials involving high-profile or sensitive cases.
