Bhubaneswar:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi spoke to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Shah over the phone late Wednesday evening, expressing his heartfelt condolences for the losses inflicted by recent natural calamities in their respective states.
During his phone conversations with Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Tripura CM Manik Shah, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi assured that Odisha stands ready to assist in post-disaster reconstruction and rebuilding efforts in both states.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has pledged financial assistance of ₹5 crore each to Kerala and Tripura from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support post-disaster reconstruction efforts.
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Tripura CM Manik Shah thanked Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi for his support. CM Majhi also thanked the CMs of Kerala and Tripura for their help and support to Odia people affected by the disasters in their respective states.
It is worth noting that both states experienced natural disasters last month. Kerala was hit by landslides, resulting in significant loss of life and property, while Tripura faced severe flooding.
