PM Modi Meets Italy’s Giorgia Meloni at G20 Summit, Strengthens Bilateral Ties

Rio de Janeiro, November 19, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Monday during the G20 Summit in Brazil. The leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in key areas such as defence, security, trade, and technology, with PM Modi highlighting the potential of India-Italy relations to contribute to a better global future.
“Our talks focused on deepening ties in defence, security, trade, and technology, as well as boosting collaboration in culture, education, and other areas,” PM Modi shared on social media.
In addition to his meeting with Meloni, PM Modi also engaged in discussions with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, and leaders from Indonesia and Portugal. The Indian Prime Minister assured Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto of India’s commitment to expanding the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
PM Modi’s diplomatic engagements at the G20 Summit underscore India’s proactive approach to strengthening international relations, focusing on strategic partnerships that promote global peace, security, and prosperity.
